A Review of Veggie Tales Silly Songs Music

While I had heard of the Veggie Tales before, I didn't have any personal experience with this well-known show. We were visiting my mother in law for Thanksgiving, and she had several of the videos for my nephew. While they were playing, my daughter became fascinated by the movemets on screen and the music. At only nine months old, she was doing her best to dance along with the Silly Songs!

We decided to go ahead and get a few DVDs for my daughter, and even found a Greatest Hits CD for in the car! I have never been a fan of television for babies, but each show is only half an hour long--I don't have a problem with that length of time!

The clincher though was the messages in each episode. This is a Bible-oriented show, and teaches lessons and morals through the stories they tell. These vary from telling stories from the Bible, to original stories, but all have simple, useful messages. Some of what they teach include sharing, the Golden Rule, compassion, and other lessons that are wonderful for children to learn.

My daughter loves the music--The Silly Songs With Bob and Larry, in the car actually calm her down when she starts thinking she's been in her car seat too long. It's amazing to me that just a few notes into the first song, she calms right down, even trying to sing along with Bob and Larry!

I have their link below so you can check them out for your little ones.
